We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to lead our growth efforts within the Private Equity sector.
Role Summary:
As the Business Development Manager – Private Equity Focus, you will play a pivotal role in introducing TechTorch’s offerings to Private Equity firms, focusing on Operating Partners at large firms and General Partners in middle and lower middle-market funds. Your mission will be to establish relationships with these funds and drive adoption of TechTorch’s services across their portfolio companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Relationships: Identify and build strong relationships with key stakeholders at Private Equity firms, including Operating Partners, General Partners, and other decision-makers.
- Strategic Outreach: Create and execute a business development plan targeting Private Equity firms.
- Leverage networks and research to identify opportunities to pitch TechTorch’s offerings.
- Initiate meetings and presentations to showcase TechTorch’s value to portfolio companies.
- Event Management: Organize and participate in events (e.g., roundtables, networking sessions, and private dinners) to engage Private Equity audiences.
- Thought Leadership: Coordinate webinars, newsletters, and publications to position TechTorch as a thought leader in Enterprise Technology solutions for PE-backed companies.
- Content Collaboration: Work with the marketing team to create high-impact content tailored for Private Equity stakeholders.
- Pipeline Management: Track and report progress on outreach efforts and manage a robust pipeline of potential PE relationships and opportunities.
- Market Intelligence: Stay informed about trends and needs in the Private Equity market to refine and adapt TechTorch’s positioning.
Qualifications
- Experience:
- 5+ years of business development experience, preferably in a technology or services firm targeting Private Equity.
- Familiarity with companies such as Consero, GLG, Gartner, Alphasense, Riviera Partners, Accordion, or Performance Improvement Partners is a plus.
- Relationship Builder: Proven ability to build and nurture relationships with C-level stakeholders, Operating Partners, and General Partners in Private Equity.
- Hunter Mentality: Strong track record of opening new opportunities and driving business growth.
- Event Management: Experience organizing events, webinars, and similar initiatives targeting high-level executives.
- Strategic Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages for a sophisticated audience.
- Results-Oriented: Demonstrated success in achieving business development goals and revenue targets.
- Knowledge of Private Equity: Understanding of Private Equity structures, portfolio company operations, and decision-making processes.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in enterprise technology solutions or consulting for PE-backed companies.
- Familiarity with CRM systems for pipeline tracking and reporting.
- Knowledge of emerging trends in commercial excellence, data, and AI.
